Meet Me On The Battlefield
Svrcina previously known as ‘Molly Hunt,’ has written almost 400 songs and signed her first deal when she was only 13. She is widely popular through YouTube. She has one album titled, “Lover. Fighter,” which was released last year (2016.)
One song, “Battlefield,” sometimes titled, “Meet Me On The Battlefield,” was an instant hit and many fans wanted to speculate the meaning behind the song. The song is about two people meeting on a battlefield, this can been interrupted two different ways; on one hand the whole song is a metaphor for a couple’s breakup, which is how most people few it, however the song was used on the TV show, “Containment,” which is about the end of the world and humanity.
After hearing the song, I wanted to see if I would be able to use it for my music video. I emailed the artist’s management, “Resin8” in order to request the use of the song.
Genre is folk/indie pop.
