I was heavily inspired by Adele's 21 and Johnny's Cash's album for my chosen colour scheme. Both covers achieve what my digipak should when it is complete, it connotes their heartbreak and the loss in their lives. Both artists also have their eyes closed to show that they are too afraid to look into the eyes of their audience which connotes that they are afraid of their limelight. By having Adele not look at the camera could be suggesting the mystery around her album because her first one was a hit, and she does not know if the second time around she will be as lucky as the first, the album will also draw in the same audience who loved her first one, who will be attracted to mystery surrounding it, and she will be attracting a new audience who will also be attracted to it for the same reason. Johnny Cash had been around longer than Adele has, and his album connotes tiredness, but that he was ready to show a darker side to himself, and his music. All the connotations of both these album covers have inspired by digipak, poster and even the choices I will be making on my music video.
